(Stacey B., 17; The FLUTEON Flutist Unlocked, 2024)

“The workshop with Pija was really fun! The clear explanations and instructions on how to improve the high notes and how to reduce performance anxiety helped me a lot. She also pointed out the strange movements that hinder us from playing better and how to transform them, which helped me to open up my sound. Top workshop!”

(Tinkara J., 15; The FLUTEON Flutist, Unlocked, 2024)

I loved your willingness and positive energy with which you approached my problems. I definitely learned a lot of new things at the workshop and I am grateful for so much new knowledge. Thank you also for all the advice on the music profession, it really helped me.”

(Gaja K., 16; The FLUTEON Flutist, Unlocked, 2024)

“The workshop allowed me to identify the movements that were hindering my playing and to change them, so now my high notes sound much better! Thanks to your clear guidance, I now also know how to practice the high register so that my high notes become more stable. Thank you for everything!”

(Svit K., 13; The FLUTEON Flutist, Unlocked, 2024)

“I liked the summer school because we learnt a lot of things in a very fun way and we spent evenings socialising and bonding with each other. Pija is a really good teacher who knows how to bring out the best in you.”

(Gaja K., 14; The FluteOn Camp, 2022)

“First of all, I would like to thank you for everything you sent. The video with your impressions and photos is great, it gives us parents a sense of how good a time you had. 🙂 It will be a really nice memory. Thank you also for the videos of the performance. And most of all, thank you for a great summer school. Gaja loved it, it was a different experience but also a nice change of pace at the end of the holidays. Once again, thank you for everything.”

(Melita K., participant’s mother; The FluteOn Camp, 2022)

“It was my second time at Pija’s summer school, but the first time that she organised it herself. I loved the individual lessons, which she tailored perfectly to each student. We also had some group workshops with Pija and one with a great guest tutor. In our free time we socialised a lot and Pija also took the time to be with us, talking, playing cards and laughing a lot. :)))”

(Klara K., 19; The FluteOn Camp, 2022)

“It was my first live summer school and I loved it. I learnt a lot of different breathing exercises which will be very helpful for me in the future, and with Pija’s help I realised that I need to enjoy the music I play, tell a story and trust myself. What I also liked about Pija is that she plays beautifully and is very cheerful.”

(Gaja K., 14; The FluteOn Camp, 2022)

“I had a great time at the summer school, and I liked my teacher Pija because she gave me lots of new ideas and taught me new ways to practice. I also liked her sense of humour. In my free time, I enjoyed socialising and playing Ligretto.”

(Inti Č., 13; The FluteOn Camp, 2022)

“I had a great time at the summer school and enjoyed it very much. It was a very nice experience for me. For a while I was thinking about maybe quitting playing the flute because I wasn’t enjoying it as much anymore. However, with your help and advice, you helped me to fall back in love with playing. I can see my progress too. Thank you so much for helping me to make this progress.”

(Ana Š., 13; The FluteOn Camp, 2022)

“I am immensely satisfied with everything you have prepared and with the execution itself. It was a pleasure to watch Ana enjoying herself and even though she was thinking of giving up playing, hanging out with you and the girls gave her an incredible enthusiasm. She hasn’t been so happy and joyful for a long time.”

(Simona K., participant’s mother; The FluteOn Camp, 2022)

“I had a great time on this year’s summer school! I made new friends and learned a lot. But what impressed me the most was how much I actually learned in such a short time!”

(Zoja TM., 14; The FluteOn Camp, 2022)

“At The Fluteon Camp summer school in Novo mesto I was most looking forward to the individual lessons, because there I got most of the knowledge I needed to play the flute even better. I also gained a lot of new knowledge and exercises to prevent injuries while playing and many new exercises for breathing correctly. In my free time, the most fun I had was playing the Ligretto.”

(Taja J., 14; The FluteOn Camp, 2022)

“I am happy if my daughter is happy and she definitely is. Through her description of what happened at the flute summer school I realised that she gained important new skills (how to prevent injuries while playing, correct breathing), during the individual lessons you pointed out her mistakes and together you corrected them. The knowledge she has gained will definitely benefit her in her future career. And the participants ended the summer school with a wonderful concert.”

(Katja K., participant’s mother; The FluteOn Camp, 2022)

“The flute lessons were relaxed and the lessons were fun. I learnt a lot of warm-up exercises to prevent injuries, and the musical elements workshop helped me with my aural comprehension. I am glad that I met other flutists from different parts of Slovenia.”

(Sara B., 12; The FluteOn Camp, 2022)

“FluteOn GOES POP is a great workshop. You learn a lot of new things and if you didn’t understand something before, this workshop opens your eyes. I know the teacher Pija because she was my teacher and I can write that she is really great. She is passing on the knowledge excellently and she is very kind and good-natured.”

(Mija G., 12; FluteOn GOES POP, 2021)

“Thank you very much for putting together such a nice webinar. It was very useful as it reminded me of many aspects that are important when playing and teaching the flute. I appreciate your efforts and willingness to help to make flute lessons better.”

(Taja M., 23; FluteOn Fix ‘n Play, 2021)

“Oh, wow Pija! It was so nice to listen to you, and to see you smiling, but to learn so many things on top of that… I mean, there were a lot of things that I’ve already heard about in your lessons/that you’ve pointed out to me, but even that one at the end about motivation, self-criticism and continuing to play was, I don’t know, almost reassuring to hear. It was great, thank you!”

(Anika S., 17; FluteOn Fix ‘n Play, 2021)

“Great seminar!! Now I will finally be able to learn the flutter tongue and correct breathing and it was great to renew my other knowledge. Thank you!”

(Pia K., 20; FluteOn Fix ‘n Play, 2021)

“I really enjoyed the summer school. My teacher and I caught on very quickly and I gained a lot of useful information. I really like that she looks for the way that suits her students best. In this way, each participant can also get to know themselves and their instrument better. In one week I have progressed more than I imagined and I know that I will continue to use the knowledge I have gained in my career. Thank you again.”

(Larisa M., 15; FluteOn 1 on 1, 2021)

“My daughter also attended the summer school this year. It was amazing how quickly they caught on, one week went by too fast and every day was filled with new energy. Mrs Pija gives the children a new perspective on playing, even a difficult note became manageable after a week :)”

(Renata M., participant’s mother; FluteOn 1 on 1, 2021)

“What I liked most about the summer school was your encouragement. I think that the exercises I learned will come in handy many times. Before the summer school I had no idea that I would learn so much in one week. I am so glad I enrolled and thank you for giving me so much new knowledge.”

(Gaja K., 13; FluteOn 1 on 1, 2021)

“My daughter attended the ‘FluteOn 1 on 1’ summer school this summer with teacher Pija Hočevar and we are very happy. She has gained a lot of knowledge in a short time and will be happy to use it in the future. We also liked the flexibility, personal approach and friendliness of the teacher.”

(Melita K., participant’s mother; FluteOn 1 on 1, 2021)

“It was great! Every day in class, I learned something new. I also learned how to relax during the exercises when I am tired. I really liked the chamber music, especially when we practiced alone, to listen to each other and complement each other. I didn’t think so many things could be done in one week and I was very positively surprised by the final performance. I really enjoyed the whole week, it was a great challenge, but in the end all the effort was worth it!”

(Pia K., 16; Summer school Cellissimo, 2018)

“Thank you for a wonderful week! I learned a lot of new things and I know I will need it for the future. Thank you for all the positive energy and helpful tips!”

(Meta Ž., 15; Summer school Cellissimo, 2018)

“I learned a lot at the summer school, but most of all I had a lot of fun!”

(Maruša G., 15; Summer school Cellissimo, 2017)

“I really liked the summer school because during the day we rehearsed a lot and prepared for the final performance, and in the evening we went out to hang out or go somewhere. I’ll be happy to go back to the Summer School, it’s a really nice week of music in great company and a wonderful experience!”

(Klara K., 15; Summer school Cellissimo, 2017)

“What I liked about the summer school was that the teacher paid attention to each student individually. Here we built on the things we had learned during the school year at the music school. I thought it was good because it was a combination of work and fun at the same time.”

(Anika S., 14; Summer school Cellissimo, 2017 & 2018)

“I liked the songs and working together! And relaxing before the performance and talking with the other participants!”

(Neca J., 10; Summer school Cellissimo, 2018)

“I liked the summer school because you learn something new, you make compositions that are fun, happy. But most of all I liked it because you meet new friends, have fun with them. I would go again because you learn a lot of new things, which helps you with the lessons you have in music school.”

(Žanin C., 10; Summer school Cellissimo, 2017)

“I liked the summer school because I made a lot of new friends and I developed my flute playing. I would go to summer school again to develop my skills even more and meet more new people.”

(Valerija Š., 13; Summer school Cellissimo, 2017)

Online & Live courses and workshops for all flute players around the globe, created with love and lots of passion for flute, music and education.

FluteOn Camp is a 7-day summer school for beginners, amateurs of wind bands without age limit, junior and senior high school music students.

In regular lessons, the contact between teacher and student is limited to the lesson only, but in the case of the summer school, musicians meet with a mentor and peers throughout the week. In addition to 1-on-1 work, the summer school will also provide an opportunity to work in groups and build on specific skills through various workshops – injury prevention, breathing, music theory.

This will make the whole experience much more enjoyable and reward you with progress in many areas, as well as new friendships.
